Texas Comptroller’s Office Awards Rural Law Enforcement Salary Assistance Grants to Chambers County

(Austin, TX) – The Texas Comptroller’s Office announced the recipients of the Rural Law Enforcement Salary Assistance Grants, highlighting the commitment to public safety and the well-being of Texas communities.
Representative Terri Leo Wilson has long been an advocate for law enforcement and the safety of all Texans. In her first term in office, she has consistently championed initiatives aimed at ensuring that law enforcement agencies have the resources they need to maintain safe communities.
Rep. Leo Wilson supported and voted in favor of Senate Bill 22, which established the Rural Law Enforcement Salary Assistance grant program. This program aims to provide vital financial assistance to sheriff’s departments, constable’s offices, and district and county attorney’s offices, particularly those in rural areas where resources may be limited.
