This past Saturday was a perfect evening for the 2025 Chambers County Youth Project Show (CCYPS) Auction. The auction capped a week of hard work and dedication of hundreds of ag students in Chambers County. The students from each school district’s Future Farmers of America clubs and county 4H clubs competed to be grand champions in categories from commercial heifers, commercial steers, swine, lamb, goat, broilers, and rabbits. Those students who did not show animals competed in industrial arts and international foods. One hundred and twenty-six students made the auction.

This was the first time for the floral design category. Run for the Roses was the theme for this year’s auction so all floral designs used beautiful roses in their designs.

Before the auction began, it was announced that the 2025 CCYPS Auction was dedicated to Sam Hill, who generously spent thousands of dollars as the buyer for Hill’s Grocery throughout the years. The 2025 CCYPS Arena was dedicated to Shannon Comeau who has served on the CCYPS Livestock Committee for 35 years. She was head of the grounds committee for most of that time. 1900 Feed was recognized as the 2023 Auction Volume buyer for their consistent and unwavering support of YPS.

Congratulations to all students who participated in the 2025 CCYPS!
