Winnie Area Chamber of Commerce Hosts May Senior Citizen Get Together Luncheon

It was a great turn out for the monthly Winnie-Stowell Senior Citizen Get Together Luncheon held on Thursday, May 14th, 2026. The luncheon was hosted by the Winnie Area Chamber of Commerce and was held at the Winnie-Stowell Community Building and there were over 40 people in attendance. WACC Ambassadors helped serve chicken spaghetti and deserts. Jimmy Gore, Commissioner, Pct. 1, prayed over the meal. These Senior citizens look forward to the monthly get togethers for the good food, fellowship, and dominos/ bingo games.
The next Senior Citizen Get Together will be held on Thursday, June 11th from 11:00am – 2:00pm at the Winnie Community Building, 335 S Park St, Winnie. Lunch and drinks are provided. EMS will provide blood pressure checks. For rides and questions, call Commissioner Gore’s office at 409-267-2644.
