East Chambers Lady Bucs Basketball

  After a win against the H-F Lady Horns at the EC Christmas Classic, the East Chambers Lady Bucs fell short in both of their games last week.

  On Tuesday, January 6th, the East Chambers Lady Bucs traveled to Warren to take on the Warren Lady Warriors and fell short 42-44. The Lady Bucs have lost to the Lady Warriors in the last three times they’ve met on the court. This was the Lady Bucs first loss in district play.

   Stats for the game are as follows: #3- Junior- Jimena Vargas- 6pts, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals; #4- Freshman- Hallie Selby- 4pts, 1 rebound, 3 assists, 4 steals; #5- Senior- Jayda Leday- 14pts, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals; #12- Freshman- Presley Simino- 5pts, 11 rebounds, 1 steal; and #21- Junior- Mikeala Quave- 13pts, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals.

  The Lady Bucs then hosted the Orangefield Lady Bobcats on Friday, January 9th and once again fell short with a final score of 36-40. This was the second district loss for the Lady Bucs.

  The stats for the game are as follows: #3- Junior – Jimena Vargas 2pts, 1 assist; #4- Freshman- Hallie Selby  10pts, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals; #5- Senior- Jayda Leday 6pts, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal; #11- Junior- Karen Hernandez 1 rebound

#12- 4pts, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal; #21- Junior- Mikeala Quave- 8pts, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 5 steals; and #25- Junior- Jadynn Smith 3pts, 1 rebound, 1 assist, 1 steal.

  The Lady Bucs traveled to  Hardin on Tuesday, January 13th to take on the Hardin Lady Hornets in hopes to recover from their mini-slump.   The East Chambers Lady Bucs will host the Kountze Lady Lions on Friday, January 16th with tip-off at 6:15pm. The Lady Bucs will be on the road again on Tuesday, January 20th as they travel to Buna to take on the Buna Lady Cougars with tip-off at 6:15pm.
