East Chambers Runnin’ Bucs Basketball Overall 18-7, District 4-1

    The Runnin’ Bucs hosted the Hardin Hornets on Tuesday, January 3^rd and defeated the Hornets 83-29 in district 22-3A action. The Bucs played hard and were very unselfish on offense as every player scored.

   #3 Jaxson Pitre entered the 1000 point club as he led the Bucs with 15 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals; #23 Dayvon Wallace with 12 points,  5 rebounds, and 1 assist; #5 Colby West with 12 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals; #1 Jarrell Smith with 10 points 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals; #21 Evan Callahan with 10 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals; #20 Darius Edmonson with 9 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, and 3 steals; #12 Hayden LeVeck with 5 points, and 3 rebounds; #4 Cameron Dillard with 3 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist; #10 Aidan Singh with 3 points, and 1 rebound; #11 Aden Thornton with 2 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal; and #32 Kevin Dodd-Albritton with 2 points, and 1 rebound.

  The Runnin’ Bucs traveled to Kountze on Friday, January 10^th to take on #1 in District, the Kountze Lions and fell short 89-64. The Buccaneers led 20 to 17 after the first quarter, but could not sustain the momentum. Several turnovers led to easy buckets by the Lions. The Buccaneers played hard the entire game, they just had a hard time stopping the Lions.

  The Runnin’ Bucs were led by #23 Dayvon Wallace with 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 steals; followed by #5 Colby West with 17 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals; #3 Jaxson Pitre with 14 points, 12 rebounds, and 1 assist; #4 Cameron Dillard with 5 points, 9 rebounds, and 1 assist, #1 Jarrell Smith with 4 points, 1 rebound, 5 assists, and 1 steal; #21 Evan Callahan with 3 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal; and #20 Darius Edmonson with 2 points, and 3 rebounds.

   The Bucs are now 18-7 on the year and 4-1 in district.

  The Runnin’ Bucs hosted the Buna Cougars on Tuesday, January 14th. They will take the short trip to Anahuac on Friday, January 17th where they will take on the Anahuac Panthers.
