Ensuring our community receives timely and reliable emergency information is a top priority. Regular testing of public notification systems helps confirm that alerts can be delivered quickly and accurately when they are needed most.
As part of a coordinated statewide drill with the Texas Division of Emergency Management, Chambers County will be testing its public alert and notification systems.
Date: April 2, 2026
Time: Between 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM
During this timeframe, residents may receive test alerts through several methods, including:
Phone calls
Text messages
Cell alerts
Email notifications
The message will clearly indicate that this is only a TEST, and no action will be required.
These routine tests help ensure our systems are ready to quickly notify the public during real emergencies.
Thank you for your cooperation as we work to keep Chambers County informed and prepared!
