Blessings and grace to everyone!  It’s a true honor to write and to speak for and represent the Catholic Church within our town of Winnie.  I’m not even sure if a Catholic priest has ever written for the Seabreeze, so I surely do consider this an honor.  Regarding the message I would want to relay, it is probably an encouragement for all peoples to find and to rekindle the relationship with Jesus Christ, we need him now more than ever.  As I write these words I think of how silly and superfluous we can be, as people, and as Christians.  Being rooted in Christ is by far the most important thing, but we let needless concerns, anxieties, and disagreements rob us of the adoration we should be paying to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  As we Catholics journey through the season of Lent (you may have seen many of us with our ashed foreheads on Ash Wednesday!), we seek a conversion of heart, back to the Lord (a daily struggle!)  That’s what we all need on a regular basis, but also our nation and the world.  It’s altogether too easy to forget about the Lord, and that’s what this season is about, placing the Lord before everything else, not as fourth or fifth on the priority list.
