Senior Citizens Gather for August Luncheon in Winnie
Senior citizens from the Winnie area gathered Thursday, August 6, for a special Senior Citizen Get Together hosted by the Winnie Area Chamber of Commerce at the Winnie Community Building.
The luncheon brought area seniors together for an afternoon of fellowship, good food and fun. Lunch and drinks were provided by the Winnie Area Chamber of Commerce, while the Chamber’s Ambassadors served guests throughout the event.
One of the afternoon’s favorite activities was a lively game of bingo. Participants enjoyed the friendly competition, with prizes awarded to the lucky winners.
EMS personnel were also on hand to provide blood pressure checks for those attending, adding a helpful health service to the afternoon’s activities.
The event provided an opportunity for local senior citizens to visit with friends, meet with fellow community members and enjoy a few hours of entertainment and fellowship.
The Winnie Area Chamber of Commerce thanks everyone who attended and helped make the luncheon a success.
The next Senior Citizen Luncheon is scheduled for Thursday, September 10. Area seniors are encouraged to mark their calendars and join in for another afternoon of food, fellowship and fun.
