Runnin’ Bucs Take Care of Business in Orangefield

On Friday, January 3, 2025, the East Chambers Runnin’ Bucs won their game against the Orangefield Bobcats by a score of 70-59.
The Runnin’ Bucs started slow, but then picked up the defense to defeat the Bobcats in district 22-3A action in Orangefield. The Bobcats came out hot, forcing several defensive changes, in search of something that would work. The Buccaneers finally got a little separation in the second half, but the Bobcats definitely did not go away.
The Buccaneers were led by Jaxson Pitre with 28 points (12-13 from the FT line), Colby West with 16 points (10-12 from the line), and Evan Callahan with 11 points. The Buccaneers were 30 for 35 from the line. This runs the record to 17-6 and 3-0 in district.
The Runnin’ Bucs hosted the Hardin Hornets on Tuesday, January 7th. They will travel to Kountze to take on the Wildcats on Friday, January 10th with Varsity tip-off at 7:30pm.
