(Austin, TX) – State Representative Terri Leo Wilson has been appointed by Speaker Dustin Burrows to serve on the Public Education Committee and the Intergovernmental Affairs Committee, as well as the Intergovernmental Affairs Permanent Standing Subcommittee on State-Federal Relations. These appointments position Rep. Leo Wilson to be a strong advocate for Texas students, parents, and local governments while ensuring the state’s interests remain a priority in federal affairs.
A lifelong educator, Rep. Leo Wilson has dedicated her career to advancing quality education in Texas. She holds undergraduate degrees in Elementary and Special Education and a Master’s in Educational Administration. Before her election to the Texas House, she served on the State Board of Education, playing a pivotal role in shaping curriculum standards and championing parental rights in education.
