Fellow Texan,

As Hurricane Beryl makes its way through the area, I want to ensure that you have any resources and recovery information you may need. Myself and my team are ready to assist you.
Earlier today, I met with Galveston County Judge Mark Henry at the Galveston County Office of Emergency Management.

REPORT DAMAGES
Those affected by Hurricane Beryl are encouraged to report property damage to the Texas Department of Emergency Management (TDEM). It is important to share relevant details and photos to assist emergency management officials in the damage assessment process.

Fill out an Individual State of Texas Assessment Tool (iSTAT) damage survey below:
iSTAT Damage Survey

REPORT UTILITY OUTAGES
TNMP: Report Outages

CenterPoint: Report Outages

Entergy: Report Outages

Report a Downed Power Line: Call 9-1-1 or your utility provider

IMPORTANT: Remember the risks of carbon monoxide poisoning and never use a generator inside your home or garage, even if the windows are open.

INSURANCE RESOURCES

DISASTER PROPERTY TAX RELIEF
The Legislature has authorized an important temporary property tax exemption for property that has been at least 15% damaged by a disaster. The exemption reduces your taxes and will make sure that you are not paying property taxes on portions of your home that have been damaged or destroyed by a disaster.

If your home or property has been affected by Hurricane Beryl, please fill out the form below through the appropriate Central Appraisal District.
Brazoria County: Disaster Property Tax Exemption Form
Galveston County: Disaster Property Tax Exemption Form
Harris County: Disaster Property Tax Exemption Form

GENERAL RESOURCES

If you are in need of any additional assistance, do not hesitate to call my office at (512) 463-0111 or email my team at district11.middleton@senate.texas.gov.

We are ready to assist you with anything you may need.
Sincerely,

Mayes Middleton
Texas State Senator
