EC Lady Bucs Track Advances to Regionals

Lady Bucs Place 2nd at Area with 83 points

  On Wednesday, April 9th, the East Chambers Lady Bucs traveled to Diboll to compete in the Area track meet. The Buccaneers placed 2nd with 83 points. The highest point earner was Mallory Frederick with 48 points.

Running event results are as follows:
3200m: 4th place – Giselle Santana 13:37.63; 7th place – Andie Richard 14:36.44z
1600m: 1st place – Mallory Frederick 5:41.89; 5th place – Mikaela Quave 6:11.15
800m: 1st place – Mallory Frederick 2:23.91; 6th place- Mikaela Quave 2:45.71
400m: 1st place – Mallory Frederick 1:02.70
100m Hurdles: 8th place – Rylee Fitzgerald 18.36
300m Hurdles: 7th place – Rylee Fitzgerald 54.82
4×100 Relay: 4th place 50.93 McKenzie Tinkle, Giselle Santana, Vanessa Lopez Camila Gurrola
4×200 Relay: 3rd place 1:48.76 McKenzie Tinkle, Giselle Santana, Vanessa Lopez, and Kate McDaniel

Fielding event results are as follows:
Pole Vault: 4th place – McKenzie Tinkle 9’0”; 6th place – Jacey Austin 7’6”
High Jump: 2nd place – Mallory Frederick 5’2”
Long Jump: 6th place – Mikaela Quave 15’-3 1/4”
Triple Jump: 1st place – Mallory Frederick 34’4”; 5th place – Mikaela Quave 33’8”

   The top 4 athletes of each event will advance to Regionals.
  The Lady Bucs will travel to Huntsville on Friday, April 18th and Saturday, April 19th to compete in the Regional Track Meet.
