EC Bucs Soccer Celebrate Senior Night and 2024-2025 4A District Champs!

The Bucs traveled to Huffman to take on the Falcons Tuesday, March 4th. EC came away with a 2-0 win. The Bucs went up 1-0. with just over a minute left in the first half when Aaron Stoeger was able to score off a throw-in from Ricardo Lopez. The Bucs would increase their lead 2-0 with 20 minutes left in the game after EC was awarded a penalty kick. Bryan Chavez was fouled in the box which resulted in the penalty kick. Chris Chavez was successful on the PK, putting the Bucs up 2-0 which would be the final score. The Buc defense dominated the game only allowing the Falcons 5 shots with all those shots being in the first half.

The Bucs hosted the Livingston Lions on Friday, March 7th. Both teams were undefeated in district entering the game. The Bucs would recognize their Seniors prior to the game. The Bucs won 2-0 and claimed the District Championship with the win. The Bucs would take a 1-0 lead in the 15th minute of the game when David Lopez scored off a corner kick by Chris Chavez. The Bucs would increase their lead to 2-0 with 11 minutes left in the first half. Ricardo Lopez played a long ball to Adan Garcia who was able to place the ball past the goalie for the score. The defense played at a high level for the second straight game allowing Livingston only 7 shots with one being on target.
