Hank Huff’s Big Day Propels East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers Past Colmesneil

  Hank Huff collected three hits in three at bats, as East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers defeated Colmesneil 11-2 on Thursday. Huff doubled in the third inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the second inning.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Sam Billeaudeau singled to center field, Huff singled to center field, and Aidan Singh grounded out, each scoring one run.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers added to their early lead in the top of the second inning when Billeaudeau singled, scoring two runs, Tanner Salazar drew a walk, scoring one run, and Huff singled, scoring one run.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Tatum Brasseaux hit a sacrifice fly, Colmesneil committed an error, Huff doubled down the left field line, and Luke Hampton was struck by a pitch, each scoring one run.

  Billeaudeau earned the win for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and two runs over two innings, striking out three and walking four. #6 took the loss for Colmesneil. The pitcher went two innings, surrendering four runs (one earned) on four hits, striking out one and walking three. Lewis stepped on the mound first for Colmesneil. The starter surrendered five hits and seven runs (six earned) over one inning, striking out one and walking four. Huff tossed one inning of scoreless ball for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers in relief. The reliever allowed one hit, striking out three and walking two.

Fourth-Inning Spurt Lead East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers Past Trinity

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers scored six runs in the fourth inning, which helped them defeat Trinity 10-0 on Thursday.  Sam Billeaudeau singled, scoring one run, Teal Kraehnke was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Hank Huff singled, scoring two runs, Luke Hampton singled, scoring one run, and Koby Jones doubled, scoring one run.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two ground outs. East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers first got on the board when Billeaudeau grounded out, scoring one run.

  A single by Huff extended the East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers lead to 4-0 in the top of the third inning.

  Hayden LeVeck earned the win for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking one. Cove Copley took the loss for Trinity. The reliever went two innings, giving up six runs on five hits, striking out two and walking two. Austin Wallace opened the game for Trinity. The pitcher allowed five hits and four runs over three innings, striking out one and walking four. Jermaul Hayes tossed one inning of shutout ball for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers in relief.   William Lee and Avery Williams each collected one hit for Trinity. Trinity were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Christian Vaughn had the most chances in the field with three.

 

East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers Defeats Newton On Back Of Clutch Display From Sam Billeaudeau

  Sam Billeaudeau drove in four runs on two hits to lead East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers past Newton 10-2 on Saturday. Billeaudeau singled in the second scoring two, singled in the first scoring one, and walked in the third scoring one.

  Newton opened the scoring in the first after Hunter Williams hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

  In the bottom of the first inning, East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers went back into the lead after Billeaudeau singled to center field, and Newton committed an error, each scoring one run.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning when an error scored one run, Tatum Brasseaux laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run, and Billeaudeau singled, scoring two runs.

  A walk by Billeaudeau extended the East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers lead to 7-2 in the bottom of the third inning.

  Jackson Seabaugh earned the win for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. The pitcher surrendered four hits and two runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out one and walking two. Callan Hough took the loss for Newton. The starting pitcher went two and one-third innings, giving up seven runs (five earned) on four hits, striking out four and walking three. Ty Ardoin threw two innings of shutout ball for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers in relief. The hurler surrendered one hit, striking out three and walking two.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers had patience at the plate, piling up six walks for the game.

  Williams led Newton with one run batted in. The first baseman went 1-for-2 on the day. Hough, Chett Barrow, Layne Smith, Dylan Walker, and Williams each collected one hit for Newton.

 

Fourth-Inning Spurt Lead East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers Past Evadale

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers defeated Evadale 8-0 on Friday thanks in part to five runs in the fourth inning.  Hayden LeVeck hit a solo home run to center field, Koby Jones singled, scoring one run, Tanner Salazar hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Aidan Singh singled, scoring two runs.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers were the first to get on the board in the second when Luke Hampton was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Singh singled to the left side of the infield, and Evadale committed an error, each scoring one run.

  Sam Billeaudeau earned the win for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. The hurler surrendered zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out four and walking none. Ramirez took the loss for Evadale. The pitcher went two innings, surrendering one run on zero hits, striking out two and walking three.

  Singh went 2-for-2 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Hank Huff led East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game. Huff stole two bases. East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers stole four bases in the game. East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers turned one double play in the game.

 

East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers Defeat Deweyville Behind Strong Performance From Hank Huff

  Hank Huff was dominant on the mound, as the starting pitcher rang up 10 strikeouts in East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers’s 7-0 victory over Deweyville on Friday. Huff surrendered zero hits and zero runs over five innings while walking one.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers won thanks in part to six runs in the fifth inning.  an error scored one run, Sam Billeaudeau grounded out, scoring one run, Aidan Singh singled, scoring two runs, and an error scored two runs.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers were the first to get on the board in the second when Jermaul Hayes singled, scoring one run.

  Evans took the loss for Deweyville. The starter went three innings, giving up one run (zero earned) on four hits, striking out five and walking none.

  Zach Richey led East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers with two runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup.  Koby Jones and Hayes each collected two hits for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers.

 

Big Second Inning Leads East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers Past West Hardin

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers defeated West Hardin 10-1 on Saturday thanks in part to seven runs in the second inning.  Koby Jones singled, scoring two runs, Sam Billeaudeau was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Tanner Salazar drew a walk, scoring one run, Hank Huff drew a walk, scoring one run, and Brown induced Aidan Singh to hit into a fielder’s choice, but two runs scored.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers extended their early lead with three runs in the bottom of the third thanks to RBI singles by Billeaudeau, Huff, and Singh.

  Hayden LeVeck earned the win for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. The starter gave up one hit and one run (zero earned) over four innings, striking out nine and walking two. Brown took the loss for West Hardin. The hurler went two innings, surrendering six runs on six hits, striking out one and walking three. Blanchard stepped on the bump first for West Hardin. The starter allowed two hits and four runs over one inning, striking out three and walking one.

  Zach Richey, Billeaudeau, and Jones each collected two hits for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. Jones, Huff, and Singh each drove in two runs for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. Jones stole two bases.

  Guillory led West Hardin with one hit in one at bat.
