East Chambers Runnin’ Bucs Basketball

  The East Chambers Runnin’ Bucs were on the road to Orangefield on Tuesday, February 3rd to take on the Orangefield Bobcats and fell short. The Buccaneers hit a buzz saw as the Bobcats defeated the Buccaneers 76 to 41. The Orangefield defense was relentless and the Buccaneers just struggled scoring all night.

  Leading scores for the Buccaneers was Cam Dillard with 16 and Darius Edmonson with 12.

  The Runnin’ Bucs or 24-6 and 8-2.

  The East Chambers Buccaneers defeated the Hardin Hornets 81-23 this past Friday night in Winnie.  The full court pressure and the unselfish offense led to the score getting spread out early as the Buccaneers lead 50 to 12 at half.

  The Buccaneers were led by Colby West with 16, Cam Dillard with 15, Darius Edmonson with 15, and Dayvon Wallace with 13.

  This moves the Bucs record to 25-6 and 9-2.

  On Friday, February 6th, the Runnin’ Bucs celebrated their eight Seniors. “What a great group of young men. It is a group that works hard, is coachable, and just wins. They have high character, which is a tribute to their parents. I’ve been blessed to coach these guys and also get to know several of the parents. These guys will do great things in life,” commented Coach Sutherland.

  The Bucs were on the road again on Tuesday, February 10th when they traveled to Kountze to take on the Lions. The Bucs will host the Buna Cougars on Saturday, February 14th with a tip-off at 9:45am. The final game of the regular season will be held on Tuesday, February 17th in Anahuac against the Panthers with tip-off at 6:00pm.
