  The East Chambers Lady Bucs hosted the East Chambers Tournament from Thursday, February 26th – Saturday, February 28th.

East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers Defeats Hitchcock Varsity Bulldogs On Back Of Clutch Display From Kaydence Pinson

  Kaydence Pinson drove in four runs on two hits to lead East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers past Hitchcock Varsity Bulldogs 14-2 on Thursday at East Chambers HS. Pinson singled in the second inning, scoring two runs, and tripled in the third inning, scoring two.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers won thanks in part to eight runs in the third inning.  Mikela Quave tripled, scoring one run, Addie Parker drew a walk, scoring one run, Pinson tripled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, Emily Vratis doubled, scoring one run, and Jadynn Smith singled, scoring two runs.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring six runs on two hits to take the lead, 6-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Pinson on a 3-0 count that drove in two.

  Rilynne Ortego earned the win for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. The pitcher allowed four hits and one run over three innings, striking out none and walking one. G. Varnes opened the game for Hitchcock Varsity Bulldogs. The hurler allowed three hits and 10 runs (four earned) over two innings, striking out two and walking eight.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers had patience at the plate, piling up nine walks for the game. Kyra Perryman, Zoe Selby, and Smith led the team with two walks each.

East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers Stymied By Legacy School of Sport Sciences Varsity Titans

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers had trouble keeping up with Legacy School of Sport Sciences Varsity Titans in a 10-3 loss on Thursday at East Chambers HS.

   Adysen Gonzalez led things off in the circle for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. The hurler gave up zero hits and five runs (one earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking six. Rilynne Ortego took the loss for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. The reliever went two and one-third innings, surrendering five runs on seven hits, striking out two and walking two.

  Halleigh Hanna, Kaydence Pinson, Kyra Perryman, and Zoe Selby each collected one hit for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers.

Adysen Gonzalez’s Big Day Propels East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers Past Lee

   Adysen Gonzalez drove in four runs on two hits to lead East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers past Lee 13-7 on Friday at East Chambers HS. Gonzalez singled in the first inning, scoring three runs, and tripled in the first inning, scoring one.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers came back to win despite trailing 4-0 in the first.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring 10 runs on six hits to take the lead, 10-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Gonzalez on an 0-2 count that drove in three.

   A single by Halleigh Hanna extended the East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers lead to 11-7 in the bottom of the second inning.

  Rilynne Ortego earned the win for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. The hurler surrendered four hits and seven runs (one earned) over two innings, striking out one and walking one.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers worked the count all day, amassing five walks.

Big First Inning Leads East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers Past Sabine Pass High School

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers defeated Sabine Pass High School 11-4 on Friday at East Chambers HS thanks in part to 10 runs in the first inning.  Zoe Selby drew a walk, scoring one run, None induced Emily Vratis to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored, an error scored two runs, Addie Parker was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Kaydence Pinson drew a walk, scoring one run, and Selby hit a grand slam.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers added one run in the second. Jadynn Smith singled, making the score 11-4.

   Adysen Gonzalez pitched one and two-thirds innings of zero-run ball for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers in relief. The hurler surrendered zero hits, striking out five and walking two.

  Halleigh Hanna, Selby, and Smith each collected one hit for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. Selby, Parker, Vratis, and Smith each drove in one run for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers play at home on Saturday against Galena Park High School in their next game.

Late Score Costs East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers After Late Charge From Galena Park High School

  Saturday’s game against Galena Park High School was a heartbreaker for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers, as they lost the lead late in a 4-3 defeat at East Chambers HS. The game was tied at three in the top of the fourth when #14 doubled, scoring one run.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers tied the game in the bottom of the third thanks to a single by Zoe Selby, a walk by Emily Vratis, and a walk by Addie Blank.

   Rilynne Ortego took the loss for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. The starting pitcher went three and one-third innings, giving up one run on four hits, striking out one and walking three.

  Selby and Blank each drove in one run for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers had patience at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game. Kaydence Pinson and Blank led the team with two bases on balls each.
