The 2025 Buccaneer Track season was delayed a week due to inclement weather. The Bucs competed in their first meet of the season on Thursday, February 27th as they traveled the short distance to Hampshire-Fannett to compete in the Longhorn Relays where they placed 2nd with a total of 123 points.
Running event results are as follows:
3200m: 2nd place – Agustin Granados 10:42.25
1600m: 1st place – Agustin Granados 5:00.7; 5th place – Christian Chavez 5:25.4
800m: 2n place – Agustin Granados 2:10.97
200m: 1st place – Corbyn Moore 22.5; 5th place – Luke Hampton 24.04
100m: 1st place – Jarrell Smith 10.77; 2nd place – Corbyn Moore 10.81
4×100 Relay: 3rd place 43.13
4×200 Relay: 1st place 1:32.77
4×400 Relay: 3rd place 3:45.42
Fielding event results are as follows:
Long Jump: 1st place – Tai’veon Harmon 20’7”
Triple Jump: 4th place – Drew Frederick 39’2”; 5th place – Evan Callahan 38’1”; and 6th place – Adan Garcia 38’1/2”
Discus: 6th place – Christian Chavez 108’10”
Shot Put: 5th place – Darius Edmonson 38’2”; 6th place – Jayden Lawson 36’5”
On Thursday, March 6th the Buccaneers will host the Buc Relays with field events beginning at 1:00pm.
