East Chambers’ loss dropped their record down to 8-5-1. As for Goose Creek Memorial, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Chambers). They blew past the La Marque Cougars 19-0 on Friday. While the Buccaneers didn’t have the best season last year (they finished 12-15), it’s starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Destiney Deyoung made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three).
In other batting news, East Chambers let Kaytlin Cole and Kaydince Hebert run wild. Cole went a perfect 1-for-1 with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Hebert went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI. The dominant performance gave Hebert a new career-high in RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Carley Cook, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Legacy School of Sport Sciences Titans. For those keeping track at home, that’s the closest win the Buccaneers have posted since February 20th.
East Chambers saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hailey Hjelle, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
East Chambers was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Woodville Eagles an 8-0 shutout. Considering the Buccaneers have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday’s blowout was nothing new.
Isabella Quave made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only a hit over four innings pitched. Quave was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.
