Since inception, the East Chambers Buccaneers Swim Team has qualified for the 4A State Championship for the third year in a row. Coached by Leslie Todd, the team qualified in three events for the 2024-2025 year. Last Wednesday the team traveled to San Antonio to compete in the two day swim meet held at the Josh Davis Natatorium.

Your East Chambers Bucs swam qualifying rounds on Thursday, February 13th and finals on Friday, February 14th. The results are as follow:

  • 200 Free Relay – 11th in the state – Hayden, Reid, Koby, Chip
  • 400 Free Relay – 16th in the state – Hayden, Chip, Drew, Koby
  • Hayden LeVeck – 14th in the 200 Free

 Meet Highlights:

  • Drew Frederick set a personal record and had the fastest split in our 400 relay!
  • Reid Todd swam his best time since ACL reconstruction—just shy of his PR from last year but so close!
  • Hayden LeVeck placed 14th in the 200 Free, a very tough race, often compared to the 800 in track. It’s a sprint, but with just enough distance to require a bit of pacing. Hayden also led off both relays.
  • Koby Jones had strong performances in both relays, bringing power and consistency to the team!
  • Chip Franklin stepped up gaining valuable experience and helping push our relays.

Coach Todd said, “ I am so proud of these guys for their hard work and perseverance!” Congratulations EC Swim Team!
