East Chambers Boys Soccer Tie with Liberty 1-1

  The Bucs traveled to Liberty to take on the Panthers in their District opener on Friday, February 7th. The game ended in a 1-1 tie.

  The Bucs scored their goal early in the 1st half and the Panthers would tie it up late in the second half. The Bucs had several scoring opportunities but were unable to capitalize. They had 18 shots with 8 shots being on target. Both teams had 2 corners each and EC had 14 free kicks while Liberty had 9. The game would go to a shootout to determine the winner. The Bucs won the shootout 6-5.

  Scoring for the Bucs was Max Vargas.

  Defensively the Bucs were led by Cristian Moreno, Jose Rufino, Ricardo Lopez, Francisco Granados and Felipe Serbino.

  Goalkeeper Alejandro Roca had 4 blocks and 5 saves.

  Adan Garcia, Chris Chavez, Ricardo Lopez, Max Vargas, David Lopez, and Jose Rufino scored during the shootout.

Overall record: 9-2-1

District record: 1-0

   The Bucs hosted the Hargrave Falcons of Huffman on Tuesday, February 11th. They will travel to Livingston on Friday, February 14th to take on the Livingston Lions.
