East Chambers Runnin’ Bucs Basketball Overall 23-7, District 8-1

  The East Chambers Runnin’ Bucs hosted the Kirbyville Wildcats on Monday, January 20th and defeated the Wildcats 82-29 in 22-3A District play.

  Runnin’ Bucs #3 Jaxson Pitre led the Bucs with 21 points and 8 rebounds; followed by #4 Cam Dillard with 13 points and 2 rebounds; #5 Colby West with 13 points and 5 rebounds; , #1 Jarrell Smith with 10 points and 3 rebounds; #23 Dayvvon Wallace with 8 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 steals; #32 Kevin Dodd-Albritton with 6 points and 3 rebounds; #10 Aidan Singh with 2 points and 1 rebound; #11 Aden Thornton with 2 points and 1 rebound; #12 Hayden LeVeck with 2 points and 4 rebounds; #20 Darius Edmonson with 2 points and 2 rebounds; and #21 Evan Callahan with 2 points and 3 rebounds.

  The East Chambers Runnin’ Bucs traveled to Warren on Friday, January 24th to take on the Warren Warriors.

  The East Chambers Buccaneers jumped out to a quick 17-0 lead, mainly because of their swarming full court pressure defense. This led to an 83-39 win over Warren in 22-3A District play.

  The Buccaneers were also unselfish offensively which led to several easy buckets off of transitions.

  Runnin’ Bucs #5 Colby West led the Bucs with 20 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 steals; followed by #23 Dayvon West with 16 points and 5 rebounds; #3 Jaxson Pitre with 13 points and 2 rebounds; #4 Cam Dillard with 12 points and 3 rebounds; # 1 Jarrell Smith with 8 points, 1 rebound, and 9 steals; #20 Darius Edmonson with 8 points and 7 rebounds; #10 Aidan Singh with 3 points; and #21 Evan Callahan with 3 points.

  This runs the record to 23-7 and 8-1 in district.

  The Runnin’ Bucs hosted the Orangefield Bobcats on Tuesday, January 28th.

  The East Chambers Runnin’ Bucs will travel to Hardin on Saturday, February 1st to take on the Hardin Hornets with Varsity tip-off at 7:30pm.
