Crowds of people in East Chambers County gathered in the hospitality room in Winnie-Stowell Park to extend their appreciation of 32 years of service to retiring Constable Pct. 1 Dennis Dugat.

Lifelong friends of Dugat’s talked about “how things were” years ago when Dugat first started his job as Constable Pt. 1. Family members were also in attendance to mark this milestone in Dugat’s life.

Representatives from US Representative Brian Babin’s office presented Dugat with a Certificate of Appreciation as well as a representative from State Representative Terri Leo Wilson’s office. Chambers County Commissioners Court presented him with a beautiful Old Henry 22 caliber rifle.

Thank you, Dennis! We appreciate your service to our county. Enjoy your retirement!
