It was a beautiful sunny day as dozens of families and friends of Euell Lester Moor gathered to receive a resolution from the Chambers County Historic Museum honoring the late Mr. Moor and his legacy of being a pioneer rice farmer in Chambers County. Moor’s grandson and great grandson, Halley Ray Moor, Sr and Halley Ray Moor, Jr, were on hand to accept the resolution from Susan Leblanc, District Director for Texas State Representative Terri Leo-Wilson.
Chambers County Republican Women assisted Marie Hughes, director of the Chambers County Historical Museum in Wallisville in setting up the event which is an annual fundraiser for the museum. Attendees ate lunch under sprawling oak trees while bidding on items from the silent auction table. There was also a live auction that produced competitive bidding among several attendees. And there was a bounce house and a “hay field of candy” for the youngsters.
Congratulations on a successful Heritage Day!
