Luke 10 tells the story of the 70 that Jesus sent out to minister. They returned joyfully saying, “Even the demons submitted to us in Your name!”, but He corrected them in verse 20: “Don’t rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven!” What is going on? If you start encountering demons and are able to cast them out, you are seeing evidence of the spirit world which should drive you closer to God and cause you to get more spiritual. It could and should, but the entertaining and amazing event is not necessarily what most people need. You could cast a demon out, freeing a person of the misery of a demon possessing them, but if they and you do not accept Christ as your Lord and savior, it won’t do y’all any good. In Matthew 12:45 Jesus teaches that if you have a demon and cast it out, if you don’t get full of Jesus, the demon will return with 7 worse demons and you would be worse off than you were. Demons being cast out and miracle blessings happening are great, but if you do not make Jesus Lord you are entertained but bound for hell. Don’t play with God. Seek Him while He can be found. Dealing with the spiritual world is only good if you get saved.
