Koby Jones Drives 4 Runners Home In East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers Victory Over Warren

Koby Jones drove in four runs on three hits to lead East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers past Warren 8-4 on Tuesday. Jones doubled in the fourth inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the sixth inning, scoring one.

Hank Huff struck out 11 batters on the day. The starting pitcher also gave up five hits and four runs over seven innings while walking two.

East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers were the first to get on the board in the third when Tanner Salazar hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

Ledbetter grounded out, which helped Warren tie the game at four in the bottom of the fifth.

East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers made the score 8-4 in the top of the sixth after Jones singled, scoring one run, Huff singled, scoring two runs, and a passed ball scored one run.

Harris took the loss for Warren. The hurler went one and one-third innings, allowing three runs on one hit, striking out two and walking two. Evans started the game for Warren. The hurler gave up two hits and four runs over four innings, striking out 10 and walking six.

Reid Todd led East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers with four walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating nine walks for the game. Landon Lockhart stole three bases. East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers ran wild on the base paths, piling up 10 stolen bases for the game.

West provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Warren with two runs batted in. The third baseman went 1-for-4 on the day. Evans went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Warren in hits. Evans stole three bases. Warren stole five bases in the game.

 

East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers Defeat Warren Behind Strong Performance From Hayden Leveck

Hayden Leveck struck out 10 batters as the hurler led East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers past Warren 13-3 on Friday. Leveck allowed three hits and three runs over five innings while walking three.

Warren got on the board in the top of the first inning after East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers dropped a third strike, and Levi Ledbetter grounded out, each scoring one run.

East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 5-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to center field by Koby Jones on an 0-2 count that drove in two.

East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers added one run in the second. Tanner Salazar singled to center field, making the score 6-2.

East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers added one run in the third. Reid Todd hit a sacrifice fly, making the score 7-3.

Braxtyn Trahan pitched one inning of zero-run ball for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers in relief. The righty allowed zero hits, striking out two and walking none.

East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers accumulated 11 hits in the game. Landon Lockhart, Hank Huff, and Salazar each collected two hits for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. Lockhart, Jones, and Grant Jones each drove in two runs for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. Sam Cathriner led East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. Lockhart and Ethan Meissner each stole multiple bases for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers stole eight bases in the game. East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers didn’t commit a single error in the field. Case Rayburn had the most chances in the field with 11.

Nicholas Tolar went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Easton Evans went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Warren in hits. Phillip Mashaw stole two bases. Warren ran wild on the base paths, collecting four stolen bases for the game. Warren turned one double play in the game.

East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers play at home on Tuesday, March 31st against Hardin and travel to Hardin on Friday, April 2nd.
