  The East Chambers Lady Bucs was on the road last week with games Warren on Tuesday, March 3rd, Orangefield on Friday, March 6th, and Anahuac on Monday, March 9th.

East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers With Tough Game Against Warren

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers couldn’t keep up with Warren and fell 8-2 on Tuesday.

  Warren got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Jaisea Tupper grounded out, Brenna Tillerson doubled to center field, and East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers committed an error, each scoring one run.

  Warren added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after MaKayla Buller singled down the left field line, and Julia Jeansonne was struck by a pitch, each scoring one run.

  Rilynne Ortego led things off in the circle for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. The hurler surrendered nine hits and eight runs (six earned) over six innings, striking out two and walking four. Kinley Fife stepped in the circle first for Warren. The starting pitcher surrendered four hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out 16 and walking two.

 Jadynn Smith led East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers with two hits in three at bats. Smith stole two bases.

  Buller, the number seven hitter for Warren, led the way with two runs batted in. The outfielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Tillerson, Jeansonne, and Buller each collected two hits for Warren.

First-Inning Burst Enough To Lead Orangefield Past East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers

  Orangefield scored five runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers 9-0 on Friday.

  Orangefield jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Gamblin hit a solo home run to left field, Angelon singled, scoring two runs, and Droddy homered to left field, scoring two runs.

  Orangefield added two runs in the second after East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers committed an error.

  Orangefield scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth on a home run to left field by Gamblin on a 3-0 count.

  Rilynne Ortego led things off in the circle for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. The hurler gave up nine hits and nine runs (seven earned) over six innings, striking out one and walking two.

  Zoe Selby went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers in hits.

  Gamblin drove the middle of the lineup, leading Orangefield with three runs batted in. The number three hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Sanches and Gamblin were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Orangefield while hitting back-to-back. Ribodeaux stole two bases. Orangefield stole four bases in the game.

East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers With Tough Game Against Anahuac

   East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers couldn’t keep up with Anahuac and fell 13-3 on Monday.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Zoe Selby singled to left field, and Adysen Gonzalez grounded out, each scoring one run.

  Anahuac captured the lead, 5-2, in the bottom of the second when Brecken Wilpitz doubled, scoring two runs, Leag Valencia scored after tagging up, and Ashley Hedges doubled, scoring one run.

  Anahuac scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the third inning. An error scored one run, Valencia laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring two runs, Kloe Anderson singled, scoring one run, and Vana George-Wells singled, scoring one run.

  Rilynne Ortego took the loss for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. The starting pitcher went four and two-thirds innings, surrendering 13 runs (two earned) on 12 hits, striking out two and walking three. Emma Parkinson started in the circle for Anahuac. The pitcher allowed two hits and three runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out five and walking four.

  Selby, Jadynn Smith, and Gonzalez each drove in one run for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers.

  Anahuac accumulated 12 hits in the game. Kyla Hart, the number eight hitter for Anahuac, led the way with three runs batted in. The infielder went 3-for-3 on the day. George-Wells and Hart each collected three hits for Anahuac. Wilpitz and Hedges each collected multiple hits for Anahuac.

  East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers welcome Hardin on Tuesday, March 10th for their next game.

East Chambers Junior Varsity Buccaneers Defeat Anahuac On Multiple Hit Performance By Hallie Selby

  Hallie Selby collected three hits in three at bats, as East Chambers Junior Varsity Buccaneers defeated Anahuac 12-0 on Monday. Selby doubled in the second inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the first inning.

  East Chambers Junior Varsity Buccaneers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Addisyn Copeland laid down a sacrifice bunt, and Parker Williams walked, each scoring one run.

  East Chambers Junior Varsity Buccaneers scored five runs on four hits in the top of the second inning. An error scored one run, Copeland singled, scoring one run, Ava Cardenas was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Kalleigh Wadsworth tripled, scoring two runs.

  East Chambers Junior Varsity Buccaneers scored five runs on three hits in the top of the third inning. Adalyn Blank doubled, scoring two runs, Selby singled, scoring one run, Copeland laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run, and a passed ball scored one run.

  Cardenas earned the win for East Chambers Junior Varsity Buccaneers. The pitcher allowed zero hits and zero runs over two and one-third innings, striking out six and walking two. #5 took the loss for Anahuac. The pitcher went two innings, allowing 12 runs (nine earned) on eight hits, striking out one and walking four.

  Blank led East Chambers Junior Varsity Buccaneers with three runs batted in. The shortstop went 1-for-3 on the day. Cardenas stole two bases.
