East Chambers Boys Soccer

The Bucs hosted the Bob Hope Eagles Friday night in the final preseason game before district. East Chambers led 3-0 at the half and would score four more goals in the second half to come away with the win 7-0. The Bucs dominated the game, maintaining possession almost 70% of the time, while taking 51 shots. The Buc defense only allowed the Eagles three shots, one in the first half and 2 in the second half.

Stats against Huffman:

Scoring for the Bucs: Max Vargas (2 goals), Adan Garcia (2 goals), Bryan Chavez, David Lopez and Cristobal Cerritos.

Assists: David Lopez (2 assists), Hugo Aviles, Xabi Morales, Mario Herrera, and Cristobal Cerritos

Defensively the Bucs were led by Mario Herrera (10 steals), Ricardo Lopez (7 steals), Max Vargas (7 steals), David Lopez (5 steals), Leonel Turrubiarte (4 steals) and Cesar Vargas, Jose Rufino, Xabi Morales and, Bryan Chavez with 3 steals each.

Goalkeeper Anthony Gomez had 2 saves and 1 block..

Bucs open District at home Friday, Feb. 6th when they host the Liberty Panthers.
