WS Lions Build Beds for Sleep in Heavenly Peace

  Members of the Winnie Stowell Lions Club drove to Beaumont, Texas this past Saturday morning to help build and deliver beds for children who do not have beds of their own. Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a national charity whose motto is “No Kids Sleep on the Floor in Our Town”.

  The nonprofit builds and delivers beds. There is a schedule for “building day” and a separate schedule for “delivery day”. The Beaumont branch of Sleep in Heavenly Peace assists the needy in Orange, Jefferson, and Hardin counties as well as Devers and Winnie.

  For more information on the Beaumont branch of Sleep in Heavenly Peace call 844-432-2337. The Winnie Stowell Lions Club meets at noon on the first and third Tuesday of the month at Tony’s BBQ in Stowell. For more information contact Bill Keating at 409-296-4005.
