Winnie Noon Optimist Club Hosts Senior Citizen Get Together Luncheon

Lennie Jannise celebrated her 92nd birthday at the luncheon.

  Over 40 people attended the monthly Senior Get Together Luncheon held on Thursday, July 10th. The luncheon was hosted by the Winnie Noon Optimist Club and held at the Winnie-Stowell Community Building. The attendees enjoyed cheeseburgers, chili dogs, and desserts. Gentz Cattle Company of Winnie donated the hamburger meat, Lera Allen donated pies, and Brenda Bartlet the donated desserts.

  The next Senior Citizen Get Together will be held on August 14th from 11:00am – 2:00pm at the Winnie Community Building, 335 S Park St, Winnie. Lunch and drinks are provided. EMS will provide blood pressure checks. For rides and questions, call Commissioner Gore’s office at 409-267-2644.
