The Ministerial Alliance Minute

  From time to time on our Winnie community page, I’ll see someone ask, “What’s the best church in the area?” Almost immediately, good-hearted believers begin sharing why they love their church and why someone should visit there. After serving as a pastor in Winnie for the past seven years, I’ve had the opportunity to meet many of our local pastors, and I can honestly say that the ones I know love Jesus Christ and genuinely want to reach this community with His love. At our local ministerial alliance meetings, we may come from different churches, but we stand united in believing that Jesus Christ alone is our hope for salvation.

  The good news is that Winnie has many strong churches filled with people who love the Lord. The important thing is not simply finding a church to attend, but finding the place where God wants you to serve. The Bible tells us that God places each member in the body just as He desires (1 Corinthians 12:18), and He gives each of us gifts to use for His glory.

  Maybe the better question is this: “Where can I best use my gifts to help others grow in Christ and reach this community with the love of Jesus?” We need to work together as believers and share the hope we have in Him.
