“Happily, ever after”, the ending of many children’s story books and Christmas Hallmark movies. We all desire a “happily ever after” ending. But we should never forget that all stories begin with “once upon a time”. In life what you look for is usually what you will find. If you look for nothing to change it rarely does. But when you look for God, somewhere between “once upon a time” and “happily ever after,” you find Him. The 91st Psalm says, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” The 91st Psalm is full of God’s promises and provision for our life. It calls us to a practical, personal relationship with God that results in rich blessings for our life. The Psalmist states I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” In life we face challenges. If faced alone they can sometimes be overwhelming. If faced with God, impossibilities become possible.
