The James Taylor White I Chapter Daughters of the Republic of Texas Visit the Alamo

  On March 6, 2025, The James Taylor White I Chapter of Daughters of the Republic of Texas visited the Alamo. It had been 189 years since the battle. One hundred and eighty-nine men died at the Battle of the Alamo.

  The ladies attended several events at the Alamo: Dawn at the Alamo, After the Fall, Annual Memorial Service, and Remembering the Defenders.

  Six men with ties to Anahuac fought and died in the Battle of the Alamo; Colonel William B Travis, Damacio Jimenez, Edward Taylor, George Taylor, James Taylor, and John Flanders.
