The Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) Texas Saltgrass Chapter celebrated another successful year of conservation and community involvement with its 5th Annual Chapter Banquet, held recently at the Winnie-Stowell Community Building.
The evening brought together anglers, conservationists, local businesses and supporters from across Southeast Texas for a night of great food, fellowship, auctions, raffles and fundraising—all with one goal in mind: protecting and enhancing the future of Texas coastal fisheries.
The Saltgrass Chapter extends its heartfelt appreciation to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated auction items, purchased tickets, sponsored tables and helped make this year’s banquet another success. The continued generosity of our community is what allows CCA Texas to invest in meaningful conservation projects that benefit anglers and coastal ecosystems for generations to come.
Thanks to the dedication of CCA Texas and its partnership with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s Coastal Fisheries Enhancement Program, more than 1 billion fingerlings have been stocked into Texas bays since the program began. Those efforts include the release of:
These stocking efforts play a critical role in maintaining healthy fish populations, improving recreational fishing opportunities and preserving the natural resources that make the Texas Gulf Coast such a special place.
CCA Texas’ work extends well beyond fish stocking. The organization also supports habitat restoration, marine research, youth education, artificial reef development and conservation initiatives that strengthen the long-term health of Texas coastal waters.
Every banquet ticket purchased, raffle entered, auction bid placed and sponsorship secured helps fund these important projects. The success of this year’s event is a testament to the unwavering support of our local communities and the many businesses and individuals who believe in protecting our coastal heritage.
The Saltgrass Chapter would like to offer a special thank you to all of the sponsors, donors, volunteers and attendees whose time, generosity and enthusiasm made this year’s banquet possible. Your commitment to conservation is helping ensure that future generations can experience the outstanding fishing and outdoor traditions that have become a way of life along the Texas coast.
The Saltgrass Chapter looks forward to building on this momentum and continuing its mission of conserving, promoting and enhancing Texas’ marine resources. With the support of our community, CCA Texas will continue making a lasting impact on the waters we all enjoy.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the 5th Annual Saltgrass Chapter Banquet a tremendous success. Your support truly makes a difference.
