ANAHUAC, TEXAS (January 2020) – Chambers Health announces that Veronica Zavala Carraway has joined their medical team as a Certified Physician Assistant. Veronica’s primary medical practice location will be West Chambers Medical Center in Mont Belvieu.
Veronica received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She has been certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants and is a Member of the Texas Association of Physician Assistants and American Association of Physician Assistants.
In collaboration with other health care professionals, physician assistants provide a full range of primary, acute, and specialty health care services. As a physician assistant, Veronica will order, perform and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, prescribe medications and other treatments, manage a patient’s overall care, counsel, and educate patients on disease prevention.
Veronica’s experience includes seven (7) years in pediatric and family medical care. Her special interest is in pediatric and family medicine with a focus on pediatric and young adult preventive medicine. She is bilingual with abilities to read, write, and speak Spanish.
She and her family reside in Chambers County and shares that her toddler daughter keeps her on her toes. She and her husband love to travel, specifically going on cruises. They’ve cruised ten times so far with their young daughter accompanying them on two. Veronica’s hobbies include baking and hosting family and friends from out of town.
