Miss Chambers County Pageant

 “Straight from the plane and back home to the pageant where it all began for me. The name may have changed, but the traditions and heart behind it remain the same and I wouldn’t have missed it!” said Mrs. Texas Katie Loxterman.

 Mrs. Texas was in Anahuac to assist with the first Miss Chambers County Pageant last Saturday. Loxterman was a contestant as an eight year old in the 1997 Texas Gatorfest Princess pageant. “I didn’t win but the experience taught me about poise and the importance of public speaking. Congratulations to all the new winners, and especially to our very first Miss Chambers County as she begins a new chapter in the legacy of the iconic Texas Gatorfest Queen. What an honor it was to be there for this piece of hometown history.” The Miss Chambers County Pageant has replaced the defunct Texas Gatorfest Pageant.

  Brogan May is the first Miss Chambers County Pageant senior queen winner. Brogan is a student-athlete at Anahuac High School and competes in varsity volleyball and track and field as a member of the Class of 2027. She also will be the recipient of a $2,500 scholarship.

  The results of the daylong pageant are: Tiny Miss-Blakelynn Kahla, Little Miss-Kinley Page, Princess – Laken Thompson, Junior Miss-Adelyn Witherspoon, and Miss Chambers County-Brogan May.
