M&D Supply, out of Beaumont, Texas held the grand opening of its 11th store last weekend in Winnie, Texas. Established in 1967 by founders Mary Mitchell, E. W. McCown, and Jack Dyson to provide tools and supplies to local workers and farmers, M&D Supply grew into a full-service hardware and industrial supply company. By the late 20th century, it had become a key supplier for Southeast Texas industries, especially construction and petrochemical sectors.

Brandon Hawkins, general manager of M&D Supply Winnie, welcomed everyone. Dozens of employees and company board members and numerous managers, as well as Winnie residents, joined the Winnie Area Chamber of Commerce in welcoming M&D Supply to Winnie. Hawkins did not cut the traditional red ribbon but sawed a cedar post in half instead. All attendees had the chance to sign the two posts which will be displayed in the store.

M&D Supply had a three-day celebration with food, vendors, and specials to entice customers to the store. It worked as hundreds of customers visited the new store.

  Welcome to Winnie, M&D Supply!
