  I recently reread the short book of Esther and was surprised how different it read today with all the antisemitism going on. It’s an interesting and easy read that really happened 2500 years ago. The more things change, the more they remain the same. Hatred of Jews clearly is a spiritual problem. I am not suggesting we become Jews, but we need to recognize that God has used the Jewish race as an example to show God’s faithfulness, not because they necessarily deserve it, but because God has decided to use them as illustrations. We need to pay attention to the things God is saying through all the things the Jews are undergoing. Read your bible and watch what is happening to the Jews. Abraham’s call (Genesis 12-23), Romans 9-10, and again Esther reveal what God has decided and is doing. The focus needs to be on THE Jew, Jesus. That is what God is all about. Believe in the Son of God, the Messiah.
