Little Thoughts, August 13th, 2025

  Jesus tells us to ask, seek, and knock because we will receive, find, and the door will be opened to all who do. Is He serious? Yes! Most of us are not confident that God would always do that. Would God give us bad things or things at the wrong time or things we don’t realize the truth about? We can trust God to guide us and educate us as to what we are asking for. There’s an old country song that says “Thank God for unanswered prayers.” We don’t want God to help us do wrong and make mistakes. We need to have great confidence in our wonderful and amazing God. He loves us so if we ask and don’t receive when we want it or what we specifically requested, we need to know there is know problem with God but probably a problem on our part. God sometimes wants us to go down paths we do not want to because we can not see the good in it. God is not a slave to our ignorance and selfishness. He wants us to have good stuff. Believe in Him! Trust Him!
