Ending the Exploitation of American Citizenship

Donald Trump is officially our Commander-in-Chief and JD Vance is our 50th Vice President. With this new chapter, the era of America’s decline is behind us, and I am filled with optimism for the future. With a Republican majority in both the House and Senate, alongside Republican leadership in the White House, we have a unique opportunity to guide our nation back onto the right path. I am fully committed to working tirelessly with my colleagues and the Trump Administration to reverse the harmful policies of the past four years. America’s best days are truly ahead of her! 

Last week, I introduced the Birthright Citizenship Act. This legislation builds on President Trump’s bold efforts to end birthright citizenship, ensuring these reforms are permanent and immune to shifting executive priorities. Under my bill, citizenship is reserved for children born in the U.S. to parents who are citizens, lawful permanent residents, or lawful immigrants serving in our Armed Forces.

It’s time to safeguard citizenship as a privilege, not an exploit.

Last week, the U.S. House of Representatives passed S.5, the Laken Riley Act. I proudly voted “YES” to send this legislation to President Trump’s desk. This will be the first bill to be sent to the Resolute desk in the 119th Congress. 

Under the Laken Riley Act, federal officials will be required to detain any illegal alien arrested or charged with a crime.
