EC Buccaneers Stop the Anahuac Panthers 35-21

  The East Chambers Buccaneers were on the road Friday, October 10th where they defeated the Anahuac Panthers in the Swamp Bowl 35-21. This is the Bucs fourth straight on the road victory, which pushed their record to 5-1.

  The Buccaneers key players were QB #15 JD Zurby who threw for 158 yards for 2 TDs, and rushed for 6 yards for 1 TD; RB #0 Earius Ceasar with a total of 71 yards rushing, and 1 TD; WR #3 Ethan West with 2 receptions for 83 yards, and 1 TD; FB #10 Darius Edmonson had 3 carries for 3 yards and 1 TD; and WR #12 Tanner Salazar with 1 reception for 60 yards and 1 TD.

  Quarterback #15 JD Zurby was 6 for 14 with a total of 158 passing yards. Receiving for the Bucs were: #3 Ethan West with 2 receptions for 83 yards and 1 TD; #2 Colby West with 1 reception for 9 yards; and #10 Darius Edmondson with 1 reception for 8 yards.

  The Bucs rushed for a total of 158 against the Anahuac Panthers. #1 Koby Jones had 3 carries for 7 yards; #5 Rashard Hale had 4 carries for 47 yards; and #24 Luke Hampton had 2 carries for 24 yards.

  Leading the Bucs defensively were #22 Dalton Dishman with 11 solo tackles, 3 assists, 1 TFL, and 1PD; #52 Aiden Baker with 10 solo tackles and 2 assists; #12 Tanner Salazar with 8 solo tackles, 3 assists, 1 TFL and 1 Hurs; #8 Bryce Guillory with 6 solo tackles, 5 assists, and 2 PDs; #24 Luke Hampton with 6 solo tackles, 2 assists, 1 TFL, and 1 sack; #5 Rashard Hale with 4 solo tackles, and 2 assists; #7 Reid Todd with 4 solo tackles and 3 assists; #10 Darius Edmonson with 4 solo tackles, 3 assists 1 Hurs, and 1 Fumble recovery; #44 Sean Beighley with 4 solo tackles, 1 assist, and 2 TFLs; #54 Jason Janak with 5 assists; #3 Ethan West with 3 solo tackles; #81 Rylan Fontenot with 2 solo tackles, and 1 TFL; #2 Colby West with 1 assist; #20 Tai’Veon Harmon with 1 solo tackle; #40 Gradyn Oliver with 1 solo tackle, and 1 assist; and #75 Jermaul Hayes with 1 solo tackle. Kicker #6 Adan Garcia was 5 of 5 scoring 5 points for the Bucs.

  Coach Russ Sutherland commented, “It was nice to go to Anahuac and get the win. Anahuac was very scrappy and it was a hard fought game.”
