The Bucs traveled to Beaumont Friday, March 21st to take on the Silsbee Tigers in the Bi-District round of the 2025 UIL Soccer playoffs The playoff game was held at Doggett Family Stadium. The Bucs dominated the game maintaining possession 70% of the time while coming away with an 8-0 win. The Bucs would score their first goal after Cristian Moreno penetrated the defense and played a ball into Max Vargas. Vargas received the pass and played the ball past the goalkeeper just inside the back post for the score. The goal would put the Bucs up 1-0 at the 13th minute of the game. The Bucs would score their second goal after the Silsbee goalkeeper blocked a shot by Chris Chavez and Adan Garcia was able to play the blocked shot and score. The Bucs would go up 3-0 after Aaron Stoeger was able to score after Ricardo Lopez played a corner kick into the back of the box. The ball would be kicked a couple of times before Stoeger was able to score. Vargas would score his second goal of the game off of a free kick. He received the free kick, turned and shot from 12 yards in front of the goal. The Bucs would increase their lead to 5-0 after David Lopez was successful on a penalty kick. The Bucs were awarded the penalty kick after Bryan Chavez was fouled in the box. The pk came with just under three minutes left in the half. The Bucs would score their first goal of the second half when Jose Rufino was able to head the ball in the goal after receiving a cross from Ricardo Lopez. The Bucs would increase their lead to 7-0 after Chris Chavez was fouled in the box. Bryan Chavez took the penalty kick and was successful. The Bucs would score their final goal of the game when Cristian Moreno played a ball into the box and Ricardo Lopez headed the ball past the goalkeeper to put EC up 8-0.

Defensively the Bucs were led by Ricardo Lopez (8 steals), Felipe Serbino and Cristobal Cerritos with 7 steals each, Cristian Moreno (6 steals), Jose Rufino and Francisco Granados with 5 steals each.
Goalkeepers Alejandro Roca and Anthony Gomez were not tested as the Buc defense did not allow Silsbee any shots.
Overall Record: 15-2-3
EC will play Royal in the Area round of the playoffs Tuesday, March 25th at Herman A. Barnett Stadium in Houston.
