The East Chambers Lady Bucs volleyball team continued its strong start to the season this weekend at the Silsbee Tournament, finishing first in the Silver Bracket.
The Lady Bucs earned tournament victories over Anahuac and Hemphill, adding two more wins to their season record. With the tournament results, East Chambers improves to an impressive 6-3 overall record.
Several Lady Bucs turned in standout performances throughout the tournament. Mikeala Quave led the team with 23 kills, followed by Makayla Montoya with 22 and Presley Simino with 15.
At setter, Addie Parker recorded an impressive 68 assists, helping keep the Lady Bucs’ offense moving. Defensively, Jimena Vargas led the team with 62 digs.
The Lady Bucs’ strong showing in Silsbee adds momentum as they continue their 2026 volleyball season. With a 6-3 record and plenty of season left to play, East Chambers is building on its early success and looking ahead to the challenges ahead.
The Lady Bucs hosted the Silsbee Lady Tigers on Tuesday, August 18th. They will host the Lady Warriors of Warren on Friday, August 21st with the Varsity game beginning at 4:30pm. On Tuesday, August 25th, the East Chambers Lady Bucs will host the Hardin Lady Hornets with the JV game starting at 4:30pm.
