East Chambers Lady Bucs Softball Trounce Hardin

East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Jadynn Smith hit a sacrifice fly, scoring two runs, and Destiney Deyoung was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.

East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Zoe Selby walked, and Smith singled, each scoring one run.

East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning when Emily Vratis drew a walk, scoring one run, Rilynne Ortego singled, scoring one run, and Addie Parker scored after tagging up.

Ortego earned the win for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. The starter gave up zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out five and walking one. Beasley began the game for Hardin. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and 10 runs (nine earned) over four innings, striking out two and walking nine.

Selby drove the middle of the lineup, leading East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers with three runs batted in.  Ortego, Smith, and Mikela Quave each collected one hit for East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers. East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers had patience at the plate, piling up nine walks for the game. Selby, Ortego, Parker, and Vratis led the team with two free passes each. East Chambers Varsity Buccaneers turned one double play in the game.
