East Chambers Lady Bucs Powerlifting 2025 Season Starts Off Strong – 1st Place at H-F Meet

On Thursday, January 9th the Lady Bucs Powerlifting team traveled to Hamshire-Fannett for the first meet of the 2025 season.
EC Senior, Marley Morgan won 1st place in the 198 weight class and had the highest combined total at meet of 1020 lbs. She broke an all-time East Chambers record in bench press with 300 lb lift. Marley also set new personal records in all 3 lifts.
EC Junior, Tyler Stevens placed 1st in the 132 weight class and won overall best lifter with a personal record of 280 lb in dead lift. Tyler’s combined total was 750 lbs.
Other 1st place finishers at the meet: Dakota Matthews got 1st in the 105 weight class; Andrea Lopez got 1st in the 114 weight class; Kaitlyn Ortiz got 1st in the 123 weight class; Sherlyn Vargas got 1st in the 165 weight class; and Cayce Foote got 1st in the 220 weight class.
The Lady Bucs next meet is Wednesday, January 15th at Hull-Daisetta.
