The East Chambers Lady Bucs opened the 2024-2025 season as they traveled the short distance to Hamshire-Fannett to take on the H-F Lady Horns on Friday, November 1st and fell short 33-40. They were led by #12 Ja’Mya Anderson with 10 points, 2 assists, 5 turnovers, 5 deflections, and 2 steals; #5 Jayda Leday with 10 points, 1 assist, 3 turnovers, and 1 deflection; #33 Gracie McDaniel with 6 points, 2 assists, 4 turnovers, 2 deflections, and 1 steal; #1 Hailey Hjelle with 3 points, 5 turnovers, 2 deflections, and 1 steal; #21 Mikeala Quave with 2 points, 2 assists, 3 turnovers, and 1 deflection; and #4 Zoe Selby with 2 points, 1 assist, 1 turnover, and 1 steal.
The Lady Bucs then traveled to Woodville on Monday, November 4th to take on the Lady Eagles and brought home the victory 47-28. They were led by #11 Mallory Frederick with 13 points, 1 assist, 2 turnovers, 7 deflections, and 5 steals; #12 Ja’Mya Anderson with 11 points, 4 assists, 6 turnovers, 6 deflections, and 5 steals; #21 Mikeala Quave with 8 points, 3 assists, 3 turnovers, 6 deflections, and 6 steals; #1 Hailey Hjelle with 6 points, and 4 turnovers; #5 Jayda Leday with 3 points, 2 assists, 6 turnovers, 1 deflection, and 1 steal; #3 Jimena Vargas with 2 points, 4 turnovers, 1 deflections, and 5 steals; #33 Gracie McDaniel with 2 points, 1 turnover, and 4 deflections; and #10 Isabella Quave with 1 point, and 2 turnovers.
The East Chambers Lady Bucs hosted their first game of the season on Friday, November 8th against PNG. The Lady Bucs pulled out the win 46-35. They were led by #11 Mallory Frederick with 13 points, 2 assists, 5 turnovers, 3 deflections, and 5 steals; #5 Jayda Leday with 8 points, 3 assists, 4 turnovers, 3 deflections, and 4 steals; #4 Zoe Selby with 7 points, 2 turnovers, 2 deflections, and 1 steal; #21 Mikeala Quave with 5 points, 2 assists, 1 turnover, 2 deflections, and 5 steals; #3 Jimena Vargas with 5 points, 2 turnovers, and 2 deflections; #12 Ja’Mya Anderson with 4 points, 2 assists, 1 turnover, 7 deflections, and 6 steals; and #33 Gracie McDaniel with 4 points, 1 assist, and 1 deflection.
The EC Lady Bucs traveled to Splendora on Tuesday, November 12th to take on the Lady Wildcats. The Lady Bucs will travel to Vidor on November 14th – November 15th to compete in tournament play. The Lady Bucs will be on the road again, as they travel to Evadale on Friday, November 15th where they will take on the Lady Rebels.
