On Tuesday, February 3rd, the Lady Bucs traveled to Orangefield and lost to the Orangefield Lady Bobcats 59-51. The Lady Bucs lost to the Lady Bobcats back in January as well. While losing is never fun, the Lady Bucs can’t take it too hard given the team’s big disadvantage in MaxPreps’ Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 485th, while the Lady Bobcats are ranked 232nd).

East Chambers’ loss dropped their record down to 21-11. As for Orangefield, they are on a roll lately: they’ve won 17 of their last 18 games. That’s provided a nice bump to their 28-3 record this season.

There’s no place like home for the East Chambers Lady Bucs, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 58-31 victory over the Hardin Lady Hornets Friday, February 6th. The Lady Bucs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 20 points or more this season.

The East Chambers Lady Bucs’ win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-11. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points on average over those games. As for Hardin, they have been struggling recently as they’ve lost five of their last six games. That’s put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

The Lady Bucs traveled to Kountze on Tuesday, February 10th to take on the Kountze Lady Lions.
