East Chambers Buccaneers vs. Warren Warriors

  After only one run in their last contest, East Chambers made sure to put some runs up on the board against Warren on Monday. East Chambers’ pitcher stepped up to hand Warren a 16-0 shutout. The Buccaneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

  Emily Vratis was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. Kaytlin Cole was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

  East Chambers’ win bumped their record up to 16-9-1. As for Warren, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.

  We’ve got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. East Chambers will challenge rival Orangefield at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (East Chambers 3.6, Orangefield 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Warren is set to square off against their familiar foe Anahuac at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
