The East Chambers Junior High Expansion Project Ribbon Cutting was held Wednesday, October 30th. East Chambers ISD Superintendent, Mr. Scott Campbell, gave a few words about the much needed expansion project and then the East Chambers ISD Board Members along with Administration staff, teachers, N&T Construction representatives, and Winnie Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors participated in the ribbon cutting. Following the ribbon cutting, all were invited to tour the new building.
The EC Junior High Expansion Project cost $6 million. This expansion is 15,000 square feet in area, holding 10 classrooms, administration offices, front office, and the Media Center. The building faces the corner of SH 124 South and East Buccaneer.
The 7th and 8th grade teachers are starting to move into their classrooms and students will begin instruction after Thanksgiving in their new classrooms.
