East Chambers Cross Country Moves on to Regionals

The East Chambers cross country team competed in the district tournament today at Woodville High School. It was very cold but a beautiful day to compete. The boys came in third but did not advance because of Covid regulations. Miguel Martinez came in sixth and did advance to regionals.

The girls won the district championship for the fifth year in row. Giselle Avalos came in first, and it was her seventh 1st place finish in a row. Maria Burgos finished 4th, followed by Jasmine Avalos 7th, Jesenia Avalos 8th, Rori Stevens 13th, Gracie Moore 18th, and Katelynn Pittman 28th.

The girls will advance to the regional meet in Huntsville on November 9.
