East Chambers Cheerleaders attend Cheer Camp at UT

  The ECHS Varsity Cheerleaders and Junior High Cheerleaders had an amazing experience this past weekend with the UCA Staff at the University of Texas. The Varisty squad was recognized with a spirit stick each night and the St. Jude spirit stick on Monday. The Varsity cheerleaders were honored with a gold ribbon for their sideline and cheer evaluation, and a blue ribbon for their camp routine. These girls worked extremely hard throughout the entire weekend, for 6-8 hours a day. Coach Bethea commented, “As a team, they stepped up to show everyone what it truly means to be a Buccaneer! We had many laughs, lots of trust and support, positive attitudes, a ton of prayers, and communicated effectively.”

  The ECHS Varsity Cheerleaders brought home trophies! In their division:

•2nd place in Game Day performance

•3rd place in Camp Routine

There were 7 ECHS All American Recipients.

Along side the Jr High squad, they also earned the Leadership Award (leadership on & off the mat) out of all the schools at camp.

  The EC Jr High Cheerleaders also showed up! In their division:

•1st place in Game Day performance

•1st place in Sideline Overall

•2nd place in Camp Routine

There were 4 ECJH All American Recipients.

  Coach Brooks, Coach Bethea, and Coach Schrock all stated, “As sponsors, we are so proud of both squads, and can’t wait to see all their hard work fall into place this year.”
